About EuCheMS
EuCheMS (European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences) is a non-profit-making organisation, founded in 1970. Its object is to promote co-operation in Europe between non-profit-making scientific and technical societies in the field of chemistry and molecular sciences.
The organisation can draw upon significant resources, having 50 member societies which in total represent some 150,000 individual chemists in academia, industry and government in over 35 countries across Europe.
EuCheMS is an Associated Organisation of IUPAC.
EuCheMS takes over the role and responsibilities of the Federation of European Chemical Societies and Professional Institutions.
A Single Voice for Chemical and Molecular Scientists
EuCheMS provides a powerful single voice for chemists and the chemical sciences in Europe through its activities and development of policy.
The General Assembly approved a new constitution to enable the organisation to become registered in Belgium.
The schedules of qualifications list broadly comparable qualifications in chemistry across Europe and are compiled for three distinct levels.
