EuCheMS Networking Scheme

What is the EuCheMS Networking Scheme?

The EuCheMS Networking Scheme enables each EuCheMS member society to offer to individual members of the other member societies' opportunities for enhanced networking across Europe.

Provisions of Service: The specific services offered will vary depending on the extent of activity available from the different member societies.  There are six areas of networking activity and each EuCheMS member society is free to implement any or all of them in the way that best suits its own organisation.

The six areas of networking activity are:

  • Reduced rates for attendance at scientific meetings organised by the society
  • Employment and careers advice when in a host country
  • Guest status at meetings of local sections/groupings when in a host country
  • Discount on certain publications
  • Involvement in activities of scientific sub-groupings/collaborative networks of the society
  • Access to news from the society/institution

Only paid up individual members of the EuCheMS member societies may take advantage of these offers.  Members or individuals affiliated to the societies through agreements with other organisations may not take advantage of these offers.  The initial period of operation of the EuCheMS Network Scheme runs until December 2009.  A society may withdraw from the EuCheMS Network Scheme by giving three months' notice.
