Russian Scientific Council on Analytical Chemistry


The Russian Scientific Council on Analytical Chemistry is a scientific advisory body of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It works on a voluntary basis.

The Council draws up annual reports on scientific achievements of Russian scientists in the field of analytical Chemistry and organizes annual Council sessions.

The Council

  • defines actual problems and basic lines of research in the field of analytical chemistry and coordinates this research;
  • promotes the dissemination of information on recent achievements in the field of analytical chemistry, keeps in touch with editorial boards of scientific journals and publishers;
  • organizes national and international conferences, meetings, and seminars;
  • focuses attention on the education and training of specialists in analytical chemistry;
  • supports and develops international contacts, promotes the participation of Russian analysts in international conferences as well as in activities of international scientific organizations;
  • annually gives awards for a considerable contribution in the development of analytical chemistry.    

The association of analytical centers “Analytica” and ecologo-analytical association “Ecoanalytica” are working under the aegis of the Council.

At present the Council is comprised of 180 Members who are leading scientists in the Russian Academyof Sciences, universities and colleges, applied-research institutes, state services, and industry. The Council is headed by its Bureau. A considerable number of analysts are working in 24 Commissions and Regional Branches of the Council.
